Ozzy Osbourne has revealed he wants an “unknown” actor to play play him in the next film that will portray his life story. During a new interview with Consequence, the Prince of Darkness said: “I don’t want anyone like Johnny Depp to act like me. I’d rather have someone who is relatively unknown.”
The legendary singer referred to a new biopic focusing on his love affair with Sharon Osbourne, announced last year. According to Variety, the film is being produced by Polygram, the film arm of Universal Music Group.
What we know so far about Ozzy’s biopic: Lee Hall, responsible for Rocketman, a production on singer Elton John, was chosen to direct the film, which will feature music by Black Sabbath and Ozzy’s solo discography. The biopic will be supervised by Sharon and the couple’s children, Aimée and Jack.
In a statement, Ozzy’s wife reveals that their relationship between they “was often wild and crazy and dangerous, but it was love that kept them together all this time.” She also makes it clear that the biopic won’t be “made up” like what happened in Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. “It will be a movie for adults”, he said.
In 2019, Ozzy and Sharon were very well played by actors Jack Kilmer and Jessica Barden in the video for Under The Graveyard, set in the late years 1970. Remember below:
