THE Slayer guitarist Kerry King never hid his opinions from the public, however controversial his ideas were. In a recent interview with the British magazine Metal Hammer, the musician did not shy away from admitting that he hated the North American group Limp Bizkit, with all his might. The guitarist went further and stated that he even considered giving up music, due to the band’s presence in the recording market.

“At the end of the years 90, I got really, really tired of the song,” said King. “I couldn’t understand why Limp Bizkit was such a big band,” he declared. “That affected me too much, to the point of not wanting to play and make music”, he pointed out. direction, I’m going out. Screw this! I hate this’. That’s why Jeff Hanneman wrote so much on our 1998 album, Diabolus In Musica, which is just too funky for me.”

In an interview with Metal Evolution, a program on the VH1 channel, King spoke about his dissatisfaction with the aforementioned album.

“Diabolus In Musica is the only album that I didn’t really participate in, as I was really resentful of the type of music at the time. It was very poppy and inoffensive. Well, maybe that’s why it was popular. But looking back I see that Slayer were trying to fit in with society at the time. It is the album that I least like in our history. It’s our Turbo”.
