The animosity between Sharon Osbourne, wife and company of Ozzy Osbourne, and Bruce Dickinson, frontman of Iron Maiden, is old and has already yielded a lot of beef with show sabotage, technical interruptions and throwing eggs, bottles and stones against the members of the Iron Maiden, during a presentation at Ozzfest, in 2005.
One of the reasons lies in the fact that Dickinson is a staunch critic of reality shows. Sharon, in turn, took this position of the singer as a personal offense, since her family was the protagonist of the show The Osbourne, which aired on MTV between the years of 2022 and 2005.
Since then, the pair has not pecked, nor does they miss an opportunity to speak ill of each other. The new episode of the feud came with Sharon’s interview with Consequence, where she stated, without mincing words, that Bruce is cand is very jealous of Ozzy.
“Bruce Dickinson is a great singer,” Sharon said. “But as a person, he’s not cool at all. I already worked with him,” she added. “Bruce Dickinson is a f, a big idiot. He was playing at Ozzfest. Ozzy Osbourne was paying him every night to perform. And every night he would go on stage and say bad things about Ozzy,” he explained.
“So, at the last show of the tour, in Los Angeles, I caught some 20 people from the audience and asked them to throw things at him during his performance. If you’re going to mess with me, you’re going to pay”, guaranteed the businesswoman.
“If you’re being paid to do a show, but you don’t like the person who hired you, don’t do the show. But don’t take the money and then swear at the person paying you,” she added. “And he never apologized, he never said hello to Ozzy. The truth is, he was always jealous. He’s jealous of Ozzy. That’s his problem”, he concluded.
Recently, Madman announced that he will return to rural area of Buckinghamshire, England, after living for 20 years in ‘sin city’, Los Angeles, United States. Ozzy said he was fed up with the number of mass shootings in the United States, in addition, he said he doesn’t want to die in the US and be among the many artists buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Home To Roost
After the success of the aforementioned The Osbournes, the Prince of Darkness, in partnership with his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, will resume life reality show with the new program Home To Roost. The idea is to produce a series of ten thirty-minute episodes documenting the Osbourne family’s return to British soil.
“Home to Roost will be a genuine portrait, showing Sharon and Ozzy as they face illness and challenges of growing old, but with Osbourne’s usual eccentricities, humour, warmth and love,” reads the official synopsis.
Home To Roost, which will air on BBC One and iPlayer, will also feature participation of two sons of the Madman, Kelly and Jack.
The program is a production of Expectation and is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
This week, vocalist Bruce Dickinson gave a workshop at Rio Innovation Week – RIW, the biggest and most complete event of Innovation and Latin American Technology. The singer took the opportunity to publicize the Iron Maiden National Team Edition model, in celebration, of course, of the World Cup 2022, which will start at the end of this month.
In addition to the classic green and yellow model, the shirt will get two more versions: blue and white and black with green and yellow details. Further product details such as pricing and payment are yet to be revealed.
Split into two parts, Bruce’s workshop begins with the singer taking a humorous and often satirical look at the world from personal, giving the public private insights into entrepreneurship, leadership and experiences. The second half is entirely dedicated to a question-and-answer session, with the audience having the opportunity to ask questions about the topics under discussion.
