Photographer Alper Yesiltas used the power of artificial intelligence to imagine how some famous musicians who have died would be today.
The artist shared a collection entitled “As If Nothing Happened”, which features legendary names like Freddie Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon and many others.
Yesiltas spoke about the project: “With the development of technology of AI, I was excited for a while, thinking that ‘anything imaginable can be shown in reality’. When I started tinkering with technology, I saw what I could do and thought about what would make me happiest. I wanted to see some of the people I missed back in front of me and that’s how this project came about.”
He added, “The hardest part part of the creative process is to make the image look ‘real’ to me. The moment I like the most is when I think the image in front of me looks very realistic, as if it was taken by a photographer.”
The images have been created using software similar to AI Photo Enhancer Remini and editing programs such as Adobe Lightroom and VSCO. Check out the complete collection here.
